Check your freezer: Some Blue Bell Ice Cream is being recalled due to a potentially deadly reaction for some consumers with nut allergies.
A Blue Bell Creameries employee discovered incorrect packaging labels on some of the product “while restocking a retailer.”
Blue Bell is voluntarily recalling Moo-llennium Crunch Ice Cream half gallon packaged in a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough carton produced in its Brenham, Texas, plant because of undeclared almond, walnut and pecan.
People allergic to almonds, walnuts and pecans or with sensitivity to nuts risk “a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction” if they eat the affected product, according to the announcement.
