Jesse Eisenberg is donating his kidney to a person in need. You know, Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder’s DC Extended Universe . . . or Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network”.
Jesse says he’s donating it in mid-December. Quote, “I’m doing an altruistic donation . . . It’s essentially risk-free and so needed. I think people will realize that it’s a no-brainer, if you have the time and the inclination.”
An altruistic donation is a non-directed living donation. It’s when someone donates an organ to a stranger that’s selected by medical compatibility.
And since Jesse is doing it through the National Kidney Foundation’s family voucher program, his family will be prioritized in the future if they ever need a kidney donation.
He also added that he enjoys donating blood. Quote, “I just have so much blood in me, and I feel like I should spill it. I really like doing it, and I don’t know why. I got, like, bitten by the blood donation bug. I love it.”
